About the Mental Health Department
St Vincent’s is proud of its International reputation for delivery of Mental Health Services and the use of the ‘Strengths Model’ and its principles. The Mental Health Service includes a 44 bed adult acute inpatient unit for the cities of Yarra and Boroondara; the Koori state-wide Inpatient Mental Health Service; Continuing Care Teams; a Crisis Assessment Team; ED Mental Health and Psychiatric Triage; Prevention and Recovery Care Service (PARC); Footbridge Community Care Unit; The Primary Intervention Care Team (PICT) includes Extended Triage and HOPE (Suicide Prevention); Mobile Support Teams; Clarendon Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service (CHOPS); Victorian Dual Diagnosis Service (VDDS); Body Image Eating Disorders Treatment and Recovery Service (BETRS) and NEXUS (Concurrent Mental Illness and Substance Use Advisory Service); Consultation & Liaison Service and Victorian Transcultural Mental Health (VTMH) and NEVIL Training Cluster.

About the Role
Exciting opportunities currently exist for dedicated and experienced mental health nurses to work as Associate Nurse Unit Managers on the Acute Inpatient Service (AIS) of St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne as a part of our Mental Health Service.
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager you will lead and direct nursing staff to ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered in accordance with the Values and Heath Care Philosophy of the SVHM and act as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager role provides the opportunity to further develop your leadership skills and contribute to the ongoing development of our progressive Recovery Model of Care.
Classifications for this position will range from Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3 NP83 - NP74 ($97,770 - $101,056 per annum)
